Common questions
How do I make a play?
Tap New Play in the library, place players and draw movement paths step by step. Use Pass for passes, Decision for a point where the viewer picks what happens next, and Court to add lines, zones and labels.
How do I add spoken narration?
Open a play, select a step, and in Narration type the words to be read aloud or tap Record to use your own voice. The app asks for microphone access the first time you record.
How do I share a play?
Touch and hold a play card. Choose Share Video to export a video, or send the .playbook file so another Hoops Playbook user can open it. In Messages, open the apps drawer and choose Hoops Playbook to send a play as an interactive card.
How do two coaches share one playbook?
Create a folder in iCloud Drive, share it from the Files app with the other person, then in Hoops Playbook choose Settings, Storage, Shared folder and select it.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, in your iCloud Drive if you choose that option, or in a folder you pick. The developer never receives it. See the Privacy Policy.
I deleted a play by mistake.
Plays stored in iCloud Drive or a Files folder can often be recovered from the Recently Deleted folder in the Files app.
